Bidrage med feedbackThe space was somewhat dreary due to the lack of customers Covid restrictions. Good service from the one staff member that was tending bar, cashing out video terminal players, and waiting tables. Normal pricing for the food and pub setting.
My daughter and I decided to try this place. We were seated and the server gave us menus and a specials menu; the specials included 10 wings for $10. I ordered wings, she ordered potato skins and a turkey wrap. Our drinks were delivered and about 10 mins later, her potato skins arrived. A party of about 15 came in, ordered and received drinks and I thought, wow am I glad we ordered before the kitchen got busy! Well, 15 mins later, the large group was served their many orders of wings and fish and chips, and we were still sitting, patiently waiting for our same specials ordered well before they arrived! We waited, and waited and never saw our server again. Finally, after 30 mins, we got up to leave. I said to another server that I wanted to pay for the food we received and leave. She said we weren 't her table and she would get the manager. The manager 'breezed ' out of the kitchen area and asked what was wrong. I told her and pointed to the happy table eating their wings etc and she had the nerve to say our food was just on its way out; that they had waited until the potato skins were done and they were going to bring our meals now. Really??? First poor service for never checking with us after initial food and then a sorry excuse from a manager. She said she would not charge us for the juice/iced tea and potato skins at least she got that right. According to my daughter, the skins were meh . We will never be back to this place one would think during difficult covid times, restaurants would try to encourage and keep patrons... apparently Brewsters is doing so well, they don 't need new business. Horrible experience and mediocre potato skins at best.
My girlfriend and I bought tickets for the Valentine's dance featuring music by the Melotones. We were joined by nine other friends. We encountered a problem when we couldn't reserve a table upon purchasing our tickets. In order to secure seating, we decided to arrive at 7:30 PM, an hour and a half before the dance was scheduled to start, to have dinner and reserve a table for us and our friends. However, when we arrived at the bar, it was already full with only a few seats available at the bar itself. We were disappointed to say the least. We asked some diners how early they had arrived, and one table told us they had been there since 6 PM, three hours before the dance started. We inquired about cashing in our tickets and going elsewhere, but we were unable to do so. We were not willing to arrive three hours in advance for even the most famous bands, let alone the Melotones. We were disappointed by Brewster's lack of consideration for seating the number of people they sold tickets to. This experience has deterred us from ever returning to their bar. Throughout the evening, we heard similar complaints from other attendees. We have become disenchanted with Brewster's and will not be returning. Best of luck to them, but they have lost us as customers.
This place is way bigger than I expected. My husband and I went here for an evening with friends to watch the hilarious Nikki Payne as well as some other great comedy acts. We only had drinks so I can't comment on food but I was really impressed with the size of the place as well as what it had to offer. Would be a great place for a large gathering!
I was in the area from Cape Breton visiting my son and we went there for lunch. It was delicious and filling and didn’t break the bank. Our waitress was so friendly and it was a relaxing atmosphere. We will hit this place up again for sure.
