We sat in the old sweet decoration. Very warm, well furnished room. Friendly attentive staff was nothing too much trouble. Amazing food cannot recommend enough. Will be back for more!!!
Was on vacation in the area and booked here for my 50. My fiancée's birthday meal, just us and our doll. So glad we did when we had the favorite meal, the young lady who served us was also beautiful, not sure... her name, she had recently lost her father when I had my mother. She was so attentive to us and also made a mess of our dog. We really had a great time and we are back in the area in summer so will definitely be back, thank you!
The menu is small but excellent. We couldn't find the entrance when we first arrived, as there is also a Golden Fleece room on the adjacent road to the square.
Recently had a get together, staying in Porthmadog with a group of 16 friends on a walking break. One of the friends who lives in the area arranged for us to have a Christmas meal at the Golden fleece. On arrival we could see our...table laid out with Christmas crackers, there was time for a pre meal drink before we were seated to what I can describe as a superb Christmas meal. Those who had the Leek and potato soup commented how tasty it was, plenty of it aswell, Duck Orange Pate was lovely, along with the Deep fried breaded Brie. The mains were then served Roast turkey with all the trimmings, Roast Beef, lamb, served with a Yorkshire pudding and a generous selection of vegetables, also a lovely vegetarian option. Nobody had any complaints about their meals, only that they were full and didn't know how they were going to manage the pudding. To finish off we were served a plate full of mini mince pies. Service was good and food served on lovely warm plates. Well done to the team at the Golden Fleece, when back in the area wouldn't hesitate to book a table again.
