Very good place. If you love momo, particularly pork momo, you must try it
Been going to this place since my early school days. So there is somewhere a emotional connect to this place everytime I am in Guwahati. Now, allow me to dive in straight to the point. The place had undergone some major necessary decor upgrades/change which has made it seem more spacious as well as feels welcoming. Now, a brief summary of the food served here are VEG/CHICKEN/PORK MOMO'S. (Accompaniments: Green Chili Sauce/Tomato Sauce/Red Chili Chutney/Mayonnaise) This time around, I found that they have added PORK CURRY too to their menu which is a good thing for people who like Pork. Can't vouch for the taste though since I haven't tasted it yet. Along with momos they also serve a CHICKEN SOUP which definitely needs to be upgraded in terms of quality taste. Soups are meant to be appetizing it doesn't hit that mark quite honestly. The taste of momos is good and the stuffing too is good. What is not to my liking is the dough. It just seems too thick sometimes tasted a little mushy in the past. Don't get me wrong for most days it tastes good. Given the price I feel it's a good option for people to go there try their stuff. Lastly, they have parking available for 2 wheelers 4 wheelers can be parked without much fuss. That to me is a great advantage to have.
Taste is not same as before. Momo Ghar lost its credibility. Momos are big compared to the other restora or eating outs. But the Momos are not steamed properly due to heavy customer demand. I think they needed to refine their quality otherwise they will be wash out over time. I have tried Chicken Momo and Veg Cheese Momo. Deliciousness and tempting taste was not there. Hope to get the best quality momos in future.
Momo Ghar is the heritage of Guwahati city for momos, we love it's spicy sauce with big sized momos.
