Bidrage med feedbackI frequent this place with my coworkers a lot for lunch. It's pretty easy, quick, and food is pretty much consistent. My go to is the half rottiserie chicken with a side salad and I know that it's always going to be good. The salad portions are big enough for at least two meals. The fries are always good and seasoned well. You can also order 3 different side items as your meal. And they have different options which are all good. If you're wanting some dessert they have a case with cupcakes and pies. I've never really tried any of the desserts but they look yummy. They tend to get busy during the lunch hour rush but their service is very quick. Parking can be a hassle since they are downtown. There's a parking lot next to them but with very limited space. There's a pay parking garage across the street and I believe the first hour is free.
While the food is great and it's one of the few quick lunch spots downtown, the employees ALWAYS have attitudes! I mean I've genuinely never been here and dealt with a friendly person. It's also a little off putting that the bread is stored right outside the bathrooms...
I was in South Carolina for a work trip and stopped by Rick 's Deli Market for dinner since it was across the street from my hotel. I was unaware that they close an hour earlier than stated online, so when I showed up for dinner, it was about 20 minutes before closing. The staff was cleaning up for the day and I felt bad for wanting to order from there, but I had just gotten off a flight and did not know where else to go. The cashier was clearly agitated and annoyed with me, but I decided to order anyway since it was still 20 minutes before closing and I was ordering take-out. The entire time, I felt that she was not being welcoming or providing the best customer service, so that rubbed me the wrong way. I ordered the chicken fettuccini alfredo, side salad, and a slice of chocolate cake. The chicken and sauce were bland. I loved the texture of the pasta noodles, but overall the food was just okay and was overpriced. With the lack of customer service and the subpar meal, I regretted having dinner there.
We came here on a beautiful Friday evening, the kind where everyone wants to sit out on the patio. It was nice that the location is a little off from the hubbub of Main Street, so you can feel more relaxed if you choose to sit outside. The patio is decorated with a few plants that helps enhance the soothing feel. There are a lot of favorite deli sandwiches on the menu, some interesting salads, and a few other specialty dishes for dinner. I had the Italian grinder. The outside of the bread was crisp, but the inside was light enough that you didn't feel overstuffed. The chicken Alfredo with blackened chicken was also good, though nothing extrodinary. Unexpectedly, my favorite part of the meal were the french fries. They were served in a very generous portion and were irresistible. If you are looking for a unique gourmet experience, Rick's Deli probably isn't the best choice. However, the food is good and reasonably priced. The drink menu is even more reasonably priced. Overall, it is a solid choice.
I don 't know how I haven 't heard of this place before! We stopped in for a late lunch yesterday per recommendation from friends. We found they offer a variety of sandwiches and pasta dishes in an order at the counter environment. I tried the cheese ravioli with a side of macaroni salad, and my fiancé tried the Philly cheesesteak with fries. The raviolis were cooked just right and were in a Parmesan cream sauce that had me scraping my plate. The macaroni salad was packed with flavor. They do offer alcohol, and bottles of wine are only $12!! Our total was less than $40, which was excellent for two hearty lunches and a bottle of wine. If you 're looking for a quick but delicious lunch or dinner option, I highly suggest checking out Rick 's Deli and Market!
