Sammy's Pizza Tavern - Grand Rapids

Recently stopped here with family during a quick weekend trip. All of the food was great, but the Islander Pizza was incredibly good. Loved the non-traditional pizza flavor combos, and the ability to do half and half on the pizza. Portions are very large so plan to take some home! Also great selection of drinks.

I really wanted to like this place, but the pizza just wasn't very good, and certainly not even close to the hype of it being a top notch place for pizza. Whenever I?m in the Grand Rapids area this is a must go to pizza joint! Me and my buddy just got done setting up everything for hunting opener next weekend in Deer River. We came for the lunch buffet. The restaurant is very clean almost spotless. They had plenty of staff and everything was very sanitary. We were seated immediately and were able to get our food on the spot. They had a selection from salad bar to wings, and of course pizza.
