Hancock - Grand Rapids

Give service 5 stars, food 3 stars. I had a burger on a chicken stable. so there is to be taken into account. Ordering the Smash Burger, it was just okay. Had cheese on it and was very dirty, more liquid than solid. Patty was more like a vegan burger. If I went back, could do to try the chicken, I would definitely not get a burger. Also the frits had, they were underboiled and cold. I was very impressed by the choice of alcohol... Hendricks Gin seen on the shelf! Top notch little Batch Gin. Bottom line, probably not going back, much better burgers elsewhere. Service is very good!

The atmosphere was very nice. It's an old gas station that turns into a restaurant. The installation and rebuilding was very well done. It has a bar where we have a blue ****. It was strong for a ****, so it was GREAT! I had the sweet chickens with waffles. The coffins were in a honey sauce that slept! It was so delicious and good. Then we had half the chicken on the side hot. The hot was too hot for me, but tasteful. The chicken is crispy. I recommend the Maiskartoffeln via waffle fries their tasteful and creamy. We'll be back when we visit Grand Rapids.

Nice place. We all really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwiches and the waffles. Mac cheese was small, but pretty good. The Brussels sprout salad was a bit light on the dressing, but it was OK because I had left the ranch of my sandwich (it had subbedded for Mayo). And finally, the Eclair Cup Dessert was sweet and interchangeable. It had delicious vanilla beans pastry cream. Our server Isabelle was very pleasant and patient with our difficult orders (determined family members of me take forever to order and like to complicate things). She also gave us proactive additional information about the various cheeses used in various dishes when she realized that we were interested.

Let's start with the best part of Hancock: The fried chicken is absolutely delicious. The half bird is a generous part, even if it is divided. The building is nicely furnished and clean. Beautiful selection of cocktails and beer. The service was very fast, just a little pushy.

Hands down, The. Best. Fried. Chicken. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should. I’ve had take out and sit down and never was disappointed. Simple but tasty. Had the fried fish and it was very good too. Oh and the service is fantastic too.
