Bidrage med feedbackWe were looking to have a Menu del Dia lunch in this locality and found that Puerta del Cabello was the only one with lots of diners. The menu was 9.5 euros with numerous choices for starters and mains. In the end we chose from the menu, a goats cheese salad and a pizza funghi. We changed our mind as the table next to us had what we thought were starters from the menu del dia and they were huge. How wrong can you be. They had just by chance ordered the same dishes from the normal menu. When we saw people eating the menu del dia the portions were not large. Small oval plates of salad...not very exciting....and a small bowl of soup. Their mains were not much better, chicken and chips comprised a leg of chicken and a handful of chips. The squid rings were a few factory produced rings in batter with again a handful of chips. All consummed by the diners, but not a lot to eat if you have a large appertite. We shared a Goats Cheese Salad and a Funghi Pizza. Both well presented and quite tasty. The only minor issue was the salad had more than its fair share of lettuce stems in the mix. Washed down with a couple of Copas of local beer it was a very pleasent lunch sat in the winter sunshine. We would eat there again but cannot, from what we observed, recommend the Menu del Dia. My wife had a Goats cheese salad
It is not unique in the scheme of all restaurants Granada but with the food and decent WiFi connection it is worth a visit. Pizzas are nice and the salad impressed upon by my wife are more than adequate. Overall good service on a Sunday afternoon. Went twice as with most things you like end up repeating.
We ordered the day menu at 8.5€. Not expected a lot for that price and our expectations were correct. Food was ok but small portions and very basic. But the terras was nice and kids had there meal quickly.
My wife and I had a leisurely late lunch. The Salmorejo (Cordoban style gazpacho) was thick and satisfying. The Pizza Delicious was swimming in cheese and Mediterranean spices with an egg in the middle. I had the Tropical Salad lettuce, avocados, bananas, kiwis and orange slices, with a dressing similar to thousand island but without the pickle relish. All very good. One disappointment. I didn't care for the beans and ham a bit salty. Another fried egg in the middle. Since it was the first time I tried the dish, I don't know if it could have been better.
We ate at the Bibalfarax on the quaint Plaza Bib-Rambla in mid October. Both the service and the food quality were exceptional and the ambiance on the terrace seating during this holiday weekend added to our overall enjoyment of Granada. We shared a salad made with lettuce heart quarters and tuna as well as a pizza with a spicy tomato sauce, artichokes, olives and onions. The pizza had the most perfect crust and was piping hot out of the oven. We enjoyed an excellent bottle of local Granada wine recommended by Fran our excellent waiter and were treated to a complementary local fortified digestif wine of orange, currant and anise. The quality for price was excellent value and the attentive and cheery wait staff made the whole experience more special.
