Shamiana - Governors Bay

First time trying this restaurant and it definitely won't be the last time. The Young lady with the short hair serving me was lovely and sweet and helped me choose a Beautiful Vegan dish (Eggplant Salaan) New favourite dish of mine.. Can't wait to come back and try the other Vegan dishes. Thanks so much

I love this place. Best Dosa ever i have had in my life. Especially if you are a dosa lover must come here. No other place can beat this place. Real authentic taste of south indian dosa. This business run by a south indian . They are so kind. Whenever i feel like for dosa i go there and then i go to newbrigton pier.

Such a great little place! Have been going here since it first opened. Traditional, delicious food served by the owner herself and her husband who seems to be the chef. They have a very small restaurant but we enjoy sitting in there always as well as the odd takeout. My hope for this small but busy place is that they get a bigger establishment with toilets for customers to use and more tables to offer in-house dining, as they really contribute a destination for New Brighton which is fantastic for this community!

Small hidden gem with delicious food and customer obsessed. Amazing service. We ordered Mysore masala dosa, Idli , butter paneer best paneer I had, looks like they make fresh Paneer) , lamb biryani cooked to perfection. Away from home during vacation this place gave us the comfort with delicious food. If you are a big group , take away would be better option.

Food is really good. Tastes like authentic Indian food. We had a chance to try the dosa which was amazing! Will definately go again. Only thing the is place is tiny and usually there are wait times on tables. Wish they expand sometime.
