Viviamo Mediterranean - Glenelg

I've been working with zomato. thanks to viviamo I have now created an account to leave a review. the service is cruel, appendages come wrong or not at all, eating is late and cold and the staff could not even get all the candles on the birthday cake that was organized to get out. the lookout from our outside was beautiful, I'm sure there was one way to ruin it, the personal would find one way.

Different dishes all bad and tasteless, almost as they use package eating from super market. service which service? they welcome u to their table and order after they are happy to receive the bill so that they are not existent. will not come back

Quality food, quality service, stand out excellent value, lovely attentive staff, top wine. With no booking we walked in and were treated to prompt service and shown to a table, drinks were delivered immediately and our order of a dozen oysters kilpatrick arrived on cue, fresh, plump and juicy they did not disappoint served in a bed of mixed lettuce followed by King George Whitting admittedly we usually order two different mains to check out each opinion but my partner informed me on arrival that there would be no sharing this evening so not wanting to miss his hysteria over KG I too ordered the fish, his crumbed mine battered wow awesome meal, 2 pieces of whiting chips and salad, generous portions fresh and delicious good value oysters $22 whiting. Excellent and friendly waitress made for an overall top dinner. Partner particularly impressed he was able to watch the footy over the top of my head while I was fooled to believe he was taking in my every word - both pleased! Will return definitely

What a disappointing - and expensive - waste of a Saturday night out. First they had 'just sold' the last bottle of wine we ordered (although reviews identify the lack of available wine as an ongoing issue). Took a while to get served ... although the new young waitress was doing her best. After asking for the freezing cold blast of air conditioning to be turned off over our table 3 times, we finally gave up. The last entree came out when the rest of the group had almost finished theirs (after waiting until their meals were getting cold before starting). The shared dips (poor quality, shop bought?) came out when the entrees were nearly finished - complete with cold, slightly stale flat bread - and when a request was made for more bread, a few more hard pieces were eventually brought out, with the comment that 'more is coming' (??) ... which never arrived. One main course was totally inedible (calamari was so tough it couldn't be cut through with a knife!!); salmon had a sauce so salty and garlicy it was awful; salt and pepper squid was of a poorer quality than could have been expected in a cheap cafe ... and we're not sure why it was served with sweet chilli sauce (perhaps to put on the amateur side-salad that had no dressing!); the vegetables served were almost raw; the only meal that was any good was the mixed grill ... but how can you really go wrong with that? Despite us sending back unfinished meals and advising the waitress one meal was inedible and we were not happy with the overall quality, the manageress did nothing. She was totally disinterested in anything other than taking our money (almost $400!!) and didn't ask how our meals were or show any enthusiasm or friendliness at all. Disgraceful management style and a very poor example to her staff. She needs to lift her game and do her job. If she is the owner, then she doesn't deserve to own a restaurant. If someone else owns the place, they need to get off their backside and oversee what's going on before she sends them broke. Lack of signage is yet another problem ... although you can play guess where the toilets and front door are to provide some distraction to a totally dismal experience. So many excellent places in Glenelg (e.g. The Wharf ... yum!) so don't bother wasting your time or money on this place.
