Yen Sushi Sake - Glendale

Delicious food and decor! Felt like a real, authentic sushi experience! I just gotta warn y'all, the 9-1-1 roll is REALLY spicy (for me atleast . It was good and flavorful though, so if you can handle really spicy, that's a good one for you! : Crazy Boywas my favorite roll, love a good deep-fried Cali roll! ?

Looked up best sushi spots in Glendale area and this spot came up. The goggle search wasn?t wrong. The rolls we got were amazing. I would say my favorite roll was the Baked lobster roll, but honestly they were all great. The sake and beer wasamazing too. I highly recommend you check this spot out. The service was great too, they were very friendly and helpful.

The sushi at Yen's is always top notch! The best in town as far as I'm concerned. It's always fresh and tasty. I couldn't be happier with their food. The GrubHub driver on the other hand, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! She didn't follow very explicit directions on how to find my apartment and took it to the wrong building. When I called her, she literally yelled and swore at me and told me to call GrubHub. Absolutely not a reflection on Yen's though! They are phenomenal!!

I recently came here with a new friend of mine who raved about this place and encouraged me to try it with him while he was in town. Needless to say, I had a great experience for my first time!I read some Google reviews ahead of time along with other people's recommendations (while looking at the menu). I will say their sushi is AMAZING and did not disappoint. We ordered all types of sushi but I would highly recommend the Boston roll, Philadelphia roll and the Alaska roll (since those were my personal favorites). I also highly recommend their house chardonnay which is crisp, smooth and sweet!The only things that could have made my experience better include having more booth seating for guests, softer and more ambient indoor lighting and prompt service (my friend was trying to get our server's attention for a while before he came back to collect the bill). We also noticed that a lot of servers were fairly new, with ours in particular mentioning to us that it was his first week in the restaurant. It makes me wonder if there is a high turnover rate at this restaurant.Besides that this is one of the best sushi places I have tried in a long time, so I will definitely come back soon because the food is worth it!

I've never had such a friendly host and server before. They were just so respectful and honest! The atmosphere was beautiful and really cozy. The food was delicious, even the leftovers the following day were enjoyable. I liked how I could watch the chefs make the sushi and set it up on the bar.
