Mexico City Bentleigh - Glen Eira

Really lovely restaurant with a nice vibe! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The portion sizes were a bit small for what you pay for. The fishbowl and jugs of frozen margaritas are good value for money. The salsa was nice and spiced and added a good kick to the dishes. The chimichanga was crunchy and a highlight dish. The wedges were delicious and had lots of sauce on top! The food took a while to come out and one dish wasn’t out through even though we double checked the order. Overall a lovely meal with flavoursome dishes.

Mexico City does that thing where you think the food doesn't look all that impressive when it arrives at your table, but then you start eating and you realise it's great. The Dear Luncher managed some nachos and a naked burrito. The pulled beef on both of these items was tremendous. A really cosy spot for a late night feed in Bentleigh.

I absolutely love this Mexican restaurant, and the fact that it's local just makes it even better! Their food is bursting with flavor, my favorite being their tacos and margaritas. What's great is they also have non-alcoholic margaritas so the kids can enjoy too. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation because they are always busy!

Though there is higher caliber Mexican food around at the same cost point, this is more on the side of comforting and a bit naughty which is a-okay with me. Staff were really friendly and the layout was cozy but vibrant. Had a great experience spending my anniversary here and will definitely be back for more.

Came in for dinner on 13 January 2020 we ordered a non-alcoholic mojito, a Tommys margarita, the fish tacos and the prawn paella.Firstly for the non-alcoholic mojito we were charged $16 which was the same price as the alcoholic mojito; I was quite disappointed in this because I didn’t see this until I looked at my receipt today. The non alcoholic mojito was very refreshing and sweet. The Tommys margarita was very sour and hit my taste buds in the right spots, I love a nice sour lemon drink. The fish tacos were absolutely amazing, I highly recommend them. This was shortly followed by the prawn paella; which was out of this world. If you guys love Mexican I highly recommend this place. They only lost a point for Mexico city was because I was charged for a alcoholic beverage when I ordered a mocktail. In most places they only charge $10. Honestly is a hidden little gem in Bentleigh.
