Pizzeria Sassano - South Glastonbury

Good pizza just needed a little more cooking. Cheese was good,crust was crispy but a little on the flop side.

Always a great dining experience. I personally love their lobster ravioli. The staff is great and pleasant.

I ordered a Margarita Pizza tonight from Sassano. I had’t been there for a long time and was surprised there is a new owner since last October. He’s very pleasant and enjoys being in South Glastonbury. Got home, we ate the pizza and WOW, it was delicious! A perfect thin crust covered with mozzarella, tomatoes, olives and mushrooms. As good as it gets! I called to let him know how much we enjoyed it. I’ll be back for more! And I hope he does very well here.

I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.

First time under new owners. Ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza with mushrooms. Have to say it was very tasty. It was done ontime when I picked up.the box was heavier than I recall from first owners...just an observation. When I got home and opened the box, the pie was a little folded over as it was slightly larger than the box. To me, I've ever have seen this. So, it's a plus, but not an expectation. I felt the price was worth it. Nice job.
