Cafizza - Geelong West

My daughter and I had lunch at Cafizza. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a vegetarian seafood pizza, which was absolutely delicious. We were so pleased that they gave us a box for our leftovers to take home. We will definitely be returning soon, as this place is a hidden gem.

We got lost while trying to take a shortcut through Geelong, so we decided to stop here for lunch. The restaurant had a fantastic Mediterranean atmosphere, delicious pizza, and great service. We enjoyed our experience so much that we made sure to return for another meal when we came back home a week later.

The waiter at our table was excellent. We were promptly served drinks upon arrival and he took our order in a friendly and efficient manner. Throughout the night, he continued to bring us fresh rounds of drinks without any hassle. This was the best service we have received in a long time. The food, including pastas and pizzas, was delicious and we appreciated not having to ask for olives or peppercorns. The meals were delivered quickly and we plan to return. We have also tried their delivery service, which was also good.

Value and venue are OK, but let down by poor and inexperienced table service (wife and I asked waitress for plates numerous times without receiving any). The more experienced brunette on the register was very good but overworked during our visit. Pizza although reasonably priced...and edible was bland... never has so many toppings had so little flavour. I'd go back if family/friends arranged it, but it's not where you'll find a full restaurant dining experience, and being honest if you're after pizza there are better options too. The prices are OK though and that does go a long way these days.
