New York Pizza - Gautier

I?ve been a customer here for 7 years and ordered pizza Friday evening. I walked in and didn?t recognize anyone in there working behind the counter. I thought this was kind of odd? Paid, got my order and went home to enjoy, but it was the worst NEW YORKSPECIAL I ever had. I?m through with the Gautier store, I will try the Pascagoula store next to see if they are any good.

Having lived in New York for many years I wouldn't exactly call this a New York style pizza however it's still very tasty. Cooked exceptionally well. I had the New York specialty. Usually with that many ingredients the pizza turns out soggy but theydid a great job and balanced it all very well. I placed a to go order for pick up and it was done exactly as advertised. Alsohad the chicken wings which were similar to an school Buffalo style chicken wing. Very good.

I've been a regular at New York Pizza since they opened in Gautier, and I've always enjoyed the food and service. They used to have the best fries I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, when we visited today, we didn't recognize anyone working there. We placed our orders and they were delivered promptly, but the fries tasted more like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store. My meatball sandwich was barely warm, and my wife's sandwich had only about half the meat it should have contained. Sadly, it doesn't have the same quality as it did under the previous owners.

Absolutely the best pizza in the South, hands down! As a New Yorker, this pizza truly reminds me of home! The local casinos could really take notes from this place if they want to stay competitive. Whenever I'm in Mississippi, this is the only spot I’ll be getting my pizza from!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. They really go the extra mile to ensure you get exactly what you want. I requested that they transform a large deluxe pizza into a calzone, and they executed it perfectly. It was the best calzone I've ever had. This place is truly unmatched. You should definitely check it out!
