The Neu Ranch House - Gainesville

One of our go to favorites in the North Texas area. The buffet. Is excellent. The German potato salad could be a little bit more German (dijon) but the cole slaw makes up for it. The meats are done to perfection and the chef is top notch.

We had the buffet cuz it was AYCE catfish and their catfish WAS GOOD! I wish this place was closer to where I live cuz I would be going here more often. They also had BBQ on the buffet that we tested meaning we did not get much of it cuz we were focusing on the catfish!! BBQ was not too bad, I mean, it was buffet BBQ soooooo. I had the ice cream and peach cobbler for dessert and man o man was it ever good!!! Highly recommend if you are on highway 82 passing through Gainsville you need to stop by this place and grab a bite. This is a blue collar place that serves high quality food!!!!!

We went here on a Saturday night, while passing through town. We wanted to see if we could find a American style buffet that'd work for us, and the kids. Suprisngly the Winstar buffet restaurant had bad reviews compared to this place, in Nov 2023, so we went HERE. It's definitely a mom pop style, larger restaurant. It's an older restaurant building but don't let that turn you off the place is clean and the food is A OK. MOST IMPORTANTLY the food was good! They had tons of meats, salads, veggies side items and deserts. The kids were happy, and so were we. And the staff were nice. We'll definitely come here again when passing through Gainesville. It's just a mile or two directly east of 35, so it's easy to find. I'd recommend it.
