Bidrage med feedbackWas worth the drive , will definitely come back . Knew about it cause I use to live in that area. The service was super and very attentive . Our visit was around lunch time during the week . Small and humble deco , felt like home The food was super , tasted mullet and gator tail , fried squash , baked beans . Everything was hot excellent taste . I highly recommend it’s great food .So full , no room for the cakes they had fresh . Maybe save room for dessert next time . I am a local in the area just a few miles down the road . Glad I visited an old road side restaurant!!
Came here on a Friday night, they were busy and short staffed so it took a little while to seat us. Our server was nice, you could tell that all the wait staff helps each other out and works well together. The food was fresh. All the dishes are simple but tasty. We had the calamari, 1/2 lb steamed shrimp appetizer, shrimp tacos, fish of the day (red snapper), fried okra, baked potato, cheese grits, green beans. The shrimp appetizer was delicious and seasoned well, the calamari was lightly breaded and right out of the fryer these 2 were my favorite. There's a nice view of the water from the restaurant, everyone seemed like friendly regulars. Worth the drive.
After waiting for over 30 minutes, no one ever came to take our order they weren't that busy).
The seafood food was great. The fried green tomatoes were amazing. We have found our new favorite place to eat. So glad we had a local fisherman to tell us it was his favorite restaurant.
Damn good food a great view. The alligator bites were the most tender ones we've ever had. The fried grouper is big, flaky pieces of delicious fish fried to golden perfection. The red potatoes fried squash taste like they came out of grandma's kitchen I'm not exaggerating. I'm from the middle of nowhere in Alabama this is the closest thing to soul food I've had in this neck of the woods. Don't skip this one, it's good yall!
