Bidrage med feedbackI am from San Antonio and perhaps I'm spoiled by good Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. I don't know what is the yellow sauce that this place put on every single dish, but I am not a fan. I have been here several times and it wasn't bad 6 months ago, but it has been progressively going downhill.
After moving to the area, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. It is actually under new ownership and goes by the name Pepitas now. It was your typical small town little hole in the wall, but the food OH MY GOSH so good. Seriously some of the best fajitas I have ever had. They serve a traditional warm salsa that was to die for. The chips were just barely stale but otherwise very good. Our server greeted us with small town hospitality and was attentive and offered suggestions on the menu. We will definitely be back!
Very friendly hosts. Food was tasty. Could add more authenticity to the cuisine.
Friendly people, I had the chicken enchiladas refried beans and rice, they were good, this place use to be Rancho Granda, no more, NOW MARY'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT,
I simple judge a restaurant on the salsa they bring me. After growing up in New Mexico I tend to hold a high expectation on Mexican restaurants based off restaurants in Albuquerque. The salsa here was good. It wasn't hot but that doesn't get negative points as long as it taste good and looks homemade. So we headed off into the right direction. The food came and I enjoyed every bite. Everything had good taste and the portion size was good for the cost. I will be leaving with a full belly and my wallet won't take a hit, so that is very good. The service was very good as well. Overall I will give this place a 5 star. I think they deserve it. I am glad my GPS took me on a route home from Tyler that I never have driven. I would have never came across this little place. If you are in the area I suggest stopping in.
