Excellent restaurant! The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was impeccable, also deserving a 5. The atmosphere was fantastic, again a solid 5. Highly recommend!
If you live in the area and don't have any other options, this place will suffice. Just be prepared for mediocre food. Honestly, Chinese cuisine in Louisiana usually has a lot of flavor, but it seems they missed the mark here. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
The food here is greasy and tough. The vegetables are overcooked, and the green beans weren't cooked at all. The only fresh item was the watermelon. The poached fish—definitely not salmon—was soaked in crab boil, while the boiled shrimp tasted like it had been cooked in salt water with jalapeño. We waited an hour for crab legs and only received scraps. If you add any seafood to your plate, even a single bite, there's a $3 extra charge on the buffet. The woman working tonight was extremely rude. The ice cream had been partially melted and scooped back into containers, with a clump of chocolate ice cream thrown on top of the vanilla. The rainbow flavor was more like soup, which isn't a pleasant sight. The fried donut was so hard it could injure someone if thrown. And the lemonade was watered down. When I asked for a lemon, I was told to get it myself from the bar. Really? After a long day of work, trying to eat in that heat was not enjoyable. Franklin desperately needs a nice place to eat besides the forest; Ms. Annie's is okay, but they're hardly ever open. City Buffet simply does not cut it. It's astonishing that anyone would choose to eat here; I think the health department should pay a visit. While Franklin is a beautiful town, this restaurant certainly is not. The food is terrible, and they are poorly competitive with other options. I wasted $42.52 here, and no, I didn't leave a tip—rudeness is not a form of customer service. Save your time and money; dining here is a mistake. Everything was just nasty. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
