Taqueria La Marea - Fort Shafter

We were looking for something authentic and not too expensive. We came across this place and we were not disappointed. The parking is a little difficult but the food is worth it. The employee at the front who took our order was so nice and gave his recommendations which were so delicious. I've attached some of our order so you can see just how delicious this food looks! We will recommend this place to everyone!

So far this is the best Mexican restaurant I've found on island. I've been there a couple times and it never disappointed. I love their pork belly tacos and their elote, so delicious! They also have amazing agua frescas!!!

The food tasted amazing. We ordered 3 tacos two with pork and one with carne asada and oh my good ness it was sooooo goood. I have always wanted to find a good Birria spot and I finally have the consommé was delicious the meat was soft and so juicy full of flavor. I personally don't like beans but I gave theirs a try and I loved it. If you have left over consommé put your beans and rice inside and just devour it all. Definitely so excited to go again and try more food ughh. The staff was so sweet and so helpful. The place looks very cute and so authentic. The owner and her daughter is so so sweet as well. Please give them a try you will not be disappointed trust me it's sad to not see so much people going in but I hope this review helps out please go.

Dang! I never thought I would find amazing Mexican food like this here on Oahu! The flavors are on point and the consomé reminded me of back home in New Mexico. This is the spot and real deal. Food for champions!??

I came here for a company lunch. Although our experience wasn't the greatest it was no fault to the business. They handled it really well. They were really nice, apologetic, and did what they could to make it right.We had a big order during lunch time, 8 dishes, and someone else took our order. The restaurant re made our order. When we went back the same people took the wrong order again and took our drinks. They said they were sold out at the moment. They could to re make the Hortchata's but it would be another 15 mins. We didn't have time to wait, so instead they decided to give us a credit. We work close by and took the credit. The food here is really good. Their fish tacos are to die for. The portion size is huge and the fish is moist. Parking is a pain. If you pick up, I would recommend you car pool so one person can get out and grab the order.
