Bidrage med feedbackWow! After the recent renovation, I just couldn't recognize it from the old store. Brightly lit and seatings are spacious. We ordered the crispy skin chicken maryland egg noodle soup and the stewed beef noodles. The beef noodles is delicious however the egg noodles soup is a bit salty. Minimum spending for EFTPOS is $15 with no surcharge on credit card.<br/
The recent renovation has truly elevated the appearance of this restaurant. We noticed it from across the street and couldn't resist taking a closer look, as it stands out in the Footscray area. We were impressed by the extensive menu options, beyond just Pho. We also tried the Grilled pork broken rice, which was delicious but could have used more toppings. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning thanks to the affordable prices, quality food, and good service.
Hopkins St is dotted with good Vietnamese restaurants, but Hien Vuong Pasteur still manages to shine. It provides a bright, modern dining experience while maintaining the feel of a welcoming family-run restaurant.<br/ <br/ This place is one of the few I have found that sells bo kho, and in my view it is the star of the show. Following a recent tweak to the recipe, it is everything that bo kho should be: a fragrant soup with tender, flavoursome chunks of meat that fall readily off the bone.<br/ <br/ The other items on the menu (including the pho) are also excellent, as one would hope and expect.<br/ <br/ Finally, it should not go without mention that the service here is particularly friendly and good-natured.
I recently noticed that this restaurant has been renovated, which caught my attention. The service could use some improvement, and the prices are generally in line with other restaurants in the area. I opted for the Pho with sliced beef and brisket. The broth was flavorful and had a clean taste, but the brisket really stood out. It was thinly sliced and slow-cooked, so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. This was probably one of the best Pho dishes I have ever had. However, the sides could use some improvement, as the bean sprouts looked a bit wilted. Overall, I would not hesitate to dine here again, despite having other options nearby.
We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years and they have finally made some changes. The location has received a renovation and now looks fantastic! It may be hard to recognize now, but they have truly made an effort to enter the modern world. The food still tastes as delicious as it did before the renovations. I hope they continue to thrive as I would be devastated if they were to leave the west. This is a great spot for a comforting bowl of soup!
