La Pomodori - Florence

We visit Florence frequently, first time back post COVID and first time eating here. Food was delicious and Meg, our server was patient with our difficulty deciding between so many wonderful dishes to choose from. Caprese had an interesting pairing with pine nuts that was surprising, but really good. Chicken picatta was light and lovely flavor. Tiramisu had a bit heavier texture and flavor than we like, but still very nice. Only downside was an unexpected surcharge to use an electronic form of payment (3 to 4% on top of total price), was unaware until we got our bill. Recommend since you actually have to call and make a reservation at this venue that they tell you up front, so you can prepare with cash if you'd like to. Apparently commonplace at restaurants in this area now, but would have been nice to know beforehand.

The food was wonderful, the service was very good. Because it’s a small staff working here they spread out the reservations so even though it’s fully booked the restaurant is packed with people. It was a very pleasant dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Had great dinners on July 20th of tender chicken picatta over homemade pasta, fresh bread and yummy tiramisou. Very friendly server. Look forward to our next trip to Florence to eat there! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Ate here with friends last Saturday (July 15) and had absolutely wonderful meals. The server was a delight as well. Our friends eat there twice a week and wanted to share this gem with us. The appetizers were outstanding, all four meals were absolutely delicious and the desserts were decadent. All that to say you can't go wrong making this place part of your visit to Florence. We'll be back!! Food: 5
