Santioni's Italian - Fleming Island

Came here for my wife’s birthday. Made online reservation for 4 on the website. Under special instructions put “My wife’s Birthday.” The server did not acknowledge this, asked if the hosts informed him, he said yes. The entire meal was over, and everything was bagged in styrofoam. The check came. No acknowledgment of her Birthday, yet he claims he knew that. By then meal was completely over, we had 2 bags each with 3 full styrofoam towers of our left overs. This was towered in front store f my mother in law and our 7 yr old. Then after I asked the waiter if the hosts informed him of the birthday, a piece of cake came out. He claimed he knew entire time but obviously he forget. Ideally would have preferred dessert slice to come out before we had 2 bags of styrofoam contains in front of 2 of the 4 people at our small 4 top. Everything was very ackward to say the least. Half table was towering leftovers couldn’t have conversation no where to put bags, then a slice cake on plate, no one sang happy birthday, server just brought out a slice cake and left. Execution was poor, considering we only ones in there at 4:30pm on a Tuesday, could have been much better executed. Ordered the Special, a fish dinner which was $48, much higher than other menu items. Overall for $160 for 3 adults and a 7 year old, didn’t get service we expected. If we are the only guests in the entire restaurant there for a Bday dinner, as noted in rsvp. Please don’t forget. Also server should have just acknowledged he forgot about the birthday, offered to move the 2 large styrofoam bags ea with 3 boxes stacked to side table and brought out cake. Would have been much more enjoyable.

My husband and I are privileged to be extreme regulars. Santioni's is consistently on point. All the way from reservations, hostesses, waiters,waitresses and support staff. The food is always phenomenal no matter the choice. caution: plenty of awesome leftovers) Side note: We just wish that the guests would take better pride in themselves as far as their attire when attending a fine restaurant EX: Baseball caps, shorts and t-shirts not the dress type, Flip flops ECT. This is a huge turn off. However, we really cannot blame the restaurant.

Very pricey for chicken based entrees. My wife's cooking is tastier, but it was good. Upscale in atmosphere with white linen tablecloth and cloth napkins.
