Il Gatto E La Volpe - FIASTRA

Found this restaurant on a recent trip to Lago Di Fiastra after a lovely swim in the lake. We asked if they had a table for 10 and they were super helpful, one young man in particular. 10 mins and our table was ready for us. The young waiter helped us to understand the menu, his English was far better than our Italian and between us we ended up with a great meal. Antipasti followed by pasta followed by meat and potatoes and veg. Last but not least tiramisu. A feast. Excellent food and efficient friendly waiter. Thank you very much for making us so welcome.

After 20 minutes waiting and asking the waiter three times to clean the table to sit, we didn't even clean the table and we left. I find unknown that the table is not cleaned after a customer pays the bill, I find unacceptable that after 20 minutes and three requests the customer is not even allowed to sit and I point out that there were 5 tables in the same condition. I remember that before the covid I came to this restaurant, but it really fell as quality and service and therefore it is absolutely to avoid.

Never again! rude waiter, absolutely poor food. slow and expensive service! It's not worth it! raw and dry boar ragout pappardelle, I think it was then simple soil. soft and bitter gratinate vegetables! Ah, to finish glasses, old and dirty!

We had lunch yesterday in this which can be defined a restaurant-baraque, is a remedy consisting of a small prefabricated unit with a small garden in front and a space on the back covered by a fair type tent, dirty and transgressed, the unqualified staff (at my greeting good morning' waiter answered say after an hour full of waiting I asked if they could do the first of the children, they answered me too. the poor food made pay as local delicacies in the lasagne with truffle nn there was trace of fresh truffle, but only truffle sauce,) slow and rude to the service, we are ociti wondering if the level of the other restaurants were the same, in this case much better a sandwich. never again

A quiet place to eat abundant and appetizing dishes. recommended among the first pappardelle with wild boar and tortellini to norcina but also with appetizers and grilled go well! very kind staff and owners! Good prices.
