Bidrage med feedbackWe had a fantastic experience at The Smokehouse. The hush puppies were wonderfully soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the jalapeno ginger honey provided just the right amount of sweetness. The pork belly was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the pickled melon. The rack of ribs was smoked to perfection and not overpoweringly smoky, and the house made bbq sauce complemented them well. However, the real standouts were the side dishes, particularly the smoked cheddar and sweet potato gratin, sauteed spinach and sweet corn succotash, and charred artichoke hearts. The service was efficient and friendly, with Carman being particularly outstanding. Our entire party of five thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we will definitely be returning.
I went to this restaurant with a group of 4 on a Friday. We had read reviews ahead of time and were prepared to wait, which we did. However, they were offering a special of $25 for a plate of wings, ribs, and a jug of craft beer. The jug was a decent size and our options included all craft beers on tap. We enjoyed our drinks while waiting for our food. The Lighthouse Coffee Lager was a favorite, and my friend loved the Caesar drinks. As for the food, the Cajun seared tuna loin was beautifully presented and a good size. The Nachos with Brisket were tasty, and I appreciated the effort they put into layering the ingredients. The wings and ribs were tender and crispy, but a bit too well done for my taste. However, they were still flavorful and the portion size was generous. For the price, it was a good deal. The service was friendly and attentive, despite the busy evening. Overall, I can understand why some may have had to wait for their food, but I would definitely return. I am not one to get hangry easily.
The food at this restaurant was delicious, although some dishes were a bit too smoky for my taste (which is expected at a smokehouse). I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian options available. Despite being a smokehouse, they offered a variety of vegetarian dishes that were just as tasty, if not better, than the meat dishes. I tried the Ribs, Roasted Veg Ratatouille (quite spicy), smoked Tofu, halloumi burger, and Caesar salad. All of them were excellent, but the standout was definitely the Halloumi burger! This new restaurant in Fernie has a great selection of dishes to choose from. I highly recommend checking it out!
The food was really good, but the service was lousy. The servers were not attentive. And the dishes of the finished dishes remained much too long at most tables. The atmosphere is great. It's a really comfortable place. The menu has enough variety for everyone without being overwhelming.
Came with a group of 4 on Friday to this joint. We read the reviews before and were ready to wait. And wait. They have a special $25 for a plate of wings ribs and a pitch beer. A REAL boy, not a pony from any beer they had on tap, they were all CRAFT beers. Steal. We drank and chat while we waited for our food. On the beer side, we tried the Lighthouse Coffee Camp, which was quite delicious. My friend had a few Caesars and said they were really good. Breakdown of foods: Our table had the Cajun meerrot tuna weaving machine, which was unexpectedly beautifully presented for a smokehouse and quite substantially in size. Our friend said it was good, but I didn't try it myself. We had also added the nachos with Brisket. Pretty good also and I love that they actually took the time to coat the ingredients so that you not only all toppings at the top and then simple chips at the bottom. This shows real care in food. Finally the wings and ribs. They were tender, but dry. A bit overdue for my taste, but if you make your wings/ribs extra good, this place is for you. But they were delicious and the part was big. So for $25, can you complain? Service was friendly. It was busy, but our server checked for us several times and made sure we had enough water/drinks. I can see why others have reviewed how they bc we waited for a while for food, but I would come back. Then again, I'm not the hangry guy.
