Bidrage med feedbackOld school Italian place in a place that is old yet cosy. Has an old jazz bar kinda of vibe that you can't fake. Great vibe and live music on Fridays is a vibe! Great appetizers and enjoyed my veal parmesan especially at a reasonable price in this day and age.
Very good food and service with an old school vibe. They had live music when we were there, which added to the old school feel. Will definitely go back when I am in the area.
I have a sentimental attachment to Pistones, and it is a well-earned one. I travel to Italy on business fairly often and let me tell you, if you close your eyes, you are dining in Italia. Their chix 'Petti di Pollo, ' with cheese, prosciutto and mushrooms is to die for. I can barely finish it. The appetizers, along with the bread and oil is just like the 'home country. ' Let 's not forget to mention the live music and dancing most nights with Lou and other gifted entertainers (no cover charge but tips gratefully accepted) accompanied by the friendly, welcoming regulars.
I love everything about this place. The ambience. The food. The staff. It's comfortable and that's what matters. And we've been several times and have never been disappointed!
Moderately priced and not far from the capital, this Italian restaurant offers a decent selection of lunch portions of your favorite Italian dishes. The kids' menu has some good options like chicken parm and pizza, which my children enjoyed. Our server, Sebastian, was an absolute rockstar—friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. The atmosphere is low key, leaning towards semi-formal or business casual, which suited our needs perfectly. While the restaurant itself feels a bit dated, it somehow adds to its charm rather than detracting from it. We'll definitely return when we're back in DC.
