Platypus Lodge Cafe' - Eungella

It was disappointing that the restaurant was closed when we visited. Many businesses in the area have been hit hard by the decrease in tourism because of Covid. If they are able to recover from the setback, this is the restaurant to try out.

Great food and excellent staff, but the COVID-19 restrictions are too strict. There are at least five people in the customer area, but only one person is allowed inside at a time. It's frustrating to have to shout from the door to place an order. Hire more staff and don't treat customers this way.

The cheesecake and carrot cake were absolutely delicious, we couldn't resist getting extra to take home with us. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. We definitely plan to return.

Lovely spot, delicious food and great coffee. Lovely friendly lady in the gift area. Just a short wander to spot platypus if you're lucky.

This was such a beautiful place to stop and have lunch and coffee. Lovely surroundings, really nice food, and good coffee. Then it’s just a short walk to platypus viewing decks and fabulous walking trails. So glad we did our ‘research’ to find it and plan for the stop.
