Bidrage med feedbackIf you’re looking for gluten free and vegan breakfast options anywhere, it’s best to lower your expectations. I was excited to visit Organic Caffe as it’s attached to the Palacial Hotel, however the food was a bit dull and not the special experience I’d imagined. The menu is well signposted for intolerances and there are a handful of options and lots of different milks to choose from, which is a pretty good result if you’re stuck with needing GF and DF. Nothing to write home about though!
I took the time to reserve and confirm seeing as my wife has food allergies, and they still served her eggs with bread with gluten. Seriously, overpriced, uncooked food. I ordered a set menu and had to remind them that it came with a coffee and dessert, i had to ask for my coffee twice, it came after the meal. We were served our plates at separate times. My wife’s plate was meant to be oats, it was a blended berry and oats soup. I ordered a 6€ green juice smoothie it was bland and lacking several ingredients.
First off, the menu changed and there are fewer vegan options. The staff was not willing to veganize anything and we waited almost 2h for our meals which then were too salty, oily, and boring. There are better options in Estoril.
Very tasty food! We had the vegetable curry and the vegan option for the lentils (avocado instead of egg), and a delicious spinach creme soup based on potatoes as starter. Vegan meals are marked in the menu, but they also adjust non-vegan dishes. We’ll be back!
Healthy food, but expensive. I had the Avocado rolls which are small but good and as the main dish the rice noodles with vegetables and it was ok but not super delicious.
