Bidrage med feedbackNot sure which dish I liked the most ... it just got better and better as I ate the oonu is always my favorite!
Though the thought has been pondered over for a very long time, it was finally once the lockdown restrictions were eased up for a short while that we could actually go out and have something, and no, it wasn't dine-in but takeaway/online order obviously. Since it's been so long, our first choice was Coffee beanz Traditionz because of this is one spot which we couldn't hit up in spite of hearing rave reviews from almost everyone who's been there. And it was as delightful as we'd imagined it to be, read further to know why! From their expansive menu, we decided to go for the Achayan's Poricha Kozhi, Ambur Mutton Biryani, Nasrani Erachi choru and for a change, Idli-chicken curry combo just because.Having spent a few years in Tamil Nadu, Ambur biryani is one style of biryani which I've come to like, along with the Dindigul version and this one was on point, the quality of mutton used was superb and the pieces were soft and juicy, melt in the mouth kind. Nasrani Erachi choru was a classic and stayed true to the name. Perfectly cooked pieces of beef and the rice drenched in that masala, this one came pretty close to the homemade version I've had from friends' homes. One dish I'd love to have the next time I'm here. The Poricha Kozhi was good too, with the chicken not being overly fried but was cooked perfectly that you could feel the crispiness and the flavours, no complaints there. The Pattambi Idli-chicken curry combo was the surprise package though, with super soft idlis which went well with the chicken gravy, one combo I tried out for the first time and take it from someone who doesn't like Idly in general, this is a must-try combo!Anyway, it was a satisfying meal for me and will be ordering from them again pretty soon, and once this is all over, hoping to come down for a proper dine-in experience!!
The name coffee beans traditionz has been hovering around the city for some time now and finally I was able to give them a visit. It's a well situated place with a cosy and lit dining area. Due to the current situation had to do with takeaway. Tried their Pattambi Idly, Achayans poricha kozhi, Nasrani Erachi Choru, Ambur Mutton Biriyani. As the name states, all were traditional tasting dishes and reminded me of something I would have when I visit my mom's house. The Ambur Mutton Biriyani was the best version of it that I have had in Kerala. The Achayans poricha kozhi and Pattambi Idly were also too good. Nasrani Erachi Choru was also absolutely fine. Would definitely recommend this place and go back there for dine in once this is over. Will be ordering online till then. A must try Restaurant according to me.
Loved the naymeen fry: simple, crisp, and tasty. The naymeen curry was good too, very spicy, but had a little too much puli for my liking. Will definitely be going back to try their other dishes.
