Corner Bistro - Scituate

Our waitress, Joann, was amazing. The menu was superb. I haven't seen a simple classy Italian style menu in years. More like 40 when I worked in an Italian restaurant. The bread was so soft served with oil and red peppers. I had pasta e fagioli soup that was loaded with beans and very tasty. My son gave me his chicken noodle soup. It was good, a little too much salt for me. Then we had the fried calamari with banana peppers. They had just the rings. I like the tentacles however it was tender. My dinner was the veal saltimbocca. The veal was paper thin and delicious. The medallions of mushrooms where perfect and the wine sauce was terrific. I will say it did taste better the next day. Everyone at our table had nothing but praises about the food. Thank you Corner Bistro we will be coming back

What an amazing place. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff! The veal sorento was absolutely delicious! The pasta fagioli, the calamari, the bread, the potatoes and veggies... all 100% fantastic.

My wife and I visited Corner Bistro on a visit to Connecticut for a wedding. We left Houston that morning very early, had a layover in ATL and then flew on to Providence where we rented a car to drive the rest of the way. Corner Bistro is an unassuming restaurant on a quiet two lane road. The ambiance is very homey and comforting. For our appetizer we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, which were stuffed with a delightful seafood concoction that melted in your mouth. Our soup course was a pasta e fagioli which impressed us both. My wife hates beans in all of their various forms, but tonight she really enjoyed them. Our main course, which we split, was scrod al marinara with linguine. The cod was perfectly cooked, tender, flakey and flavorful. The pasta I suspect was made fresh, given its delightful texture. Overall a fantastic experience. A lot of food for not a lot of money.
