Bidrage med feedbackMy son had fish and waffles. The fish, he said, tastes good, but was very fat. The weaponries were cool and hard to chew. I had the lobster roll with boiler chips. My first lobster roll. The lobster was tender and tasty. The boiler chips were excellent. The role itself was okay. I enjoyed a wonderful glass of local red wine.
I give the fish in the fish and chips plate 4 stars for the freshness and tasty of the Schellfisch, which accompanies the chips. The service was very friendly and prompt. I think the servers are chatting with the male travelers as the female travelers, but this is just a question of preference perhaps. The chips that came with the fish, however, were quite terrible. It's understated and gummy. I can only imagine that it was frozen, then freeze and frozen again so that the mummy texture. All right. So if you ever find yourself here then enjoy the fish with a side salad and enjoy!!
I rarely eat in restaurants in airports because I find that they are always overpriced and moderately best. Especially for breakfast I usually stick to places like Tim Hortons, where the food can be moderate, but at least it is cheap. However, I traveled with my husband and father in law, and my father prefers to sit in law restaurants with table service to tell Tim Hortons about food. So we went for breakfast according to legends. I didn't want to order a standard bacon and egg breakfast, because it's nothing special and honestly I have eaten this kind of stuff for free during my vacation at the breakfast buffet, so I don't like paying $10.99 for it. So I ordered the Nova Scotia breakfast, which was the standard bacon and eggs, but also a fish cake that was something else) $12.99. There was really nothing else on the menu for breakfast that had something else than what was available at the hotel breakfasts I had all week. Then the server came back and told me they were all from fish cake. It was a Sunday morning at 8:30 and you're from fish cake? Okay, I guess I have the standard breakfast. So it is 2 eggs allegedly your way, but not really because I went to poached and they said they could 't do so that I am for over simple), bacon or sausage I chose bacon), Homefries and 2 slices toast rye or multi grain I chose rye) for $ 10.99. The toast was beautifully roasted, not burned, thank God) and I asked for it dry no butter) and it came as desired. My eggs were in fact over simple and surprisingly not too oily/fatty. The bacon was crispy and not burned. They were good. They were small enough cubes to not be strong and were nicely browned and crispy. I even got 2 small orange wedges that were actually juicy and were not all dried up). So the food that was actually available was better and better than I feared). My husband also had the standard breakfast, but with butter bread and eggs over hard. You didn't mistake any of our orders. My father in the law also ordered the standard breakfast, with bacon and multi-grain bread, but he wanted only 1 egg instead of 2, 1 toast instead of 2 and no domestic frits. The server was nice enough to say that it would ring through à la carte as buying 1 egg, 1 piece toast and one side of bacon would be cheaper than the standard breakfast. I thought that would be very nice of her and it raises my opinion about the facility because most other places would only charge you the higher price. We had 2 servers at breakfast. One was the superior, and I know that because she had a pen on it, said superiors. She said she would upload the articles à la carte. Both servers were nice. The decor is old-fashioned diner like. You even have some slots. It is located in the Halifax airport on the side after you have clear security. Definitely one of the better experiences I had in airport restaurants. 3.5 stars!
I should be in Halifax airport half an hour before my flight to Deer Lake, NL. But we were an hour late to Toronto, so I missed my connecting flight and had a 2.5-hour waiting time for the next flight to Deer Lake. I had lunch in legends... it's the only restaurant if you're safe, so there's no great choice. There are VLTs in the restaurant if you are lucky. I ordered a club sandwich (minus of salad) with boiler chips. It was okay. I'm not a big fan of boiler chips, so most of them leave. Melinda was my server and she was quick and friendly.
There was a hair on our food, and the only good beer on the menu was unavailable. High prices, bad food.
