Sadaf - Encino

I gave Sadaf restaurant in Encino 5 stars. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews as a Persian myself. The koobideh here is incredibly juicy and delicious. The service was great, there was live music, and the vibe at the bar was fantastic. The tadig, fesenjan, gheimeh, and lubia polo were all amazing. Highly recommend!

The Persian food at this restaurant is just okay. The portions are generous, as expected in Persian cuisine. Parking is limited on the busy street. There are better options available, but this place is not too bad.

The food at this restaurant was decent (not the best Persian food, but definitely not the worst), however, the service was lacking. It could have just been our waiter, as the rest of the staff seemed attentive. Be cautious when ordering as things may get forgotten or not properly taken down. If you are dining with a traditional Persian group who waits to eat until everyone is served, be prepared for dishes to get cold while waiting for missing items like naderi soltani. The tadig with ghormeh sabzi ghaymeh was quite good. Additionally, you may need to request items like onions, lavash butter, and sugar cubes for tea. There was a guitarist playing popular Persian and Sinatra music, though this may only be on Fridays. Parking is limited on the street, but valet is available in the back alley. Overall, a better experience may be had at their Thousand Oaks location.

I have dined in and get food to go all the time and it is simply amazing. The flavors are so perfect, meats are SO tender and moist. Even the tomatoes and onions are like melt in your mouth. I literally say this is sooo good everytime I take a bite. Service is always attentive and the inside is very nice. You will not regret dining here!!!

They're fresh Lake Superior Whitefish is outstanding! Very elegant service and reasonable prices for the quality.
