Jorge's Mexicantessen - Encinitas

We were in Encinitas on vacation from Utah. I got the Tuesday special, pork and potatoes in green sauce with rice, beans and tortillas w/a drink. Everything tasted good, homemade and fresh. My only regret was not asking for extra salsa. Also, the cashier was really nice when I asked about the food being spicy. It was just right.

The food is really good, but the chicken soup is the best. Prepared fresh daily, you cannot go wrong with fresh soup like that.

Delicious food; good prices/quantity; and friendly, personalized service. Fun to go to the park stop by here for a meal afterwards. The mole is outstanding even my visitors from WVa loved it!

Comfort soup, one of the reasons I'd drive from anywhere to go here...So kind people, so grateful they are open so much. Paying my neighbor with their soup. One of their wonderful features are the detailed maps of Mexico on the wall!
