Doug's Place - Emerson

I have lived in the area since 2007 and had never been to Doug's Place. Today was the first time. The parking lot is always full, so it must be really great, I thought. Sorry, but it was a huge disappointment. Torn up booth seats, took quite long to get food and it was not good. To top it off, you pay at the register when you leave and there was a very long line to wait in just to pay and it took forever. To top it off, for what we ordered, the price was ridiculously high.

Better off going to waffle house. Food is sub par. Waited 30 minutes for breakfast food while people while bigger tables that were seated after us were getting their food. Only go if you know the servers. In response to the owner... If orders were cooked in the order they were received I would not have written this review.

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant today. I ate with Aaron who is the son to the late owner, Mr Doug. The food, atmosphere, server and building was all 5 stars to me. I also met the new owner and he was a super nice guy. If you want some awesome Southern food...give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Love the newly remodeled building. Food is just as good as it always is. I got the vegetable plate, it was exactly what I needed!

The breakfast was sooo good, can't wait to try lunch and/or dinner ..
