Bidrage med feedbackAwang Kitchen was delicious! It is highly recommended and we will return. Once the doors opened, an enticing odor of peanut sauce welcomed us in. We came to the table with different diets but were all accommodated. Two of us were meat eaters, one pescatarian and another a pescatarian who doesn’t eat gluten, dairy, corn or soy. We feasted! We ordered fried tapioca cakes (great texture , lamb satay, cold salad with dried fish, squid, tofu and peanut sauce, whole grilled fish with chili sauce, and steaming hot water spinach with quail eggs —the meal was accompanied by fluffy rice. For dessert we had three shakes: durian with sweetened condensed milk and ice (my favorite! , coconut milk with green rice noodles, and red coconut with black and white tape (fermented black rice and cassava , bread and avocado. The flavors were strong and rich and complemented each other nicely. Our waiter gave us recommendations that all suited our tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, I just wish we had had more room in our stomachs. Yum!!
Located in the Queens area of New York City, this restaurant is known for serving the best Indonesian cuisine in the city. Owned by Mr. Awang, it attracts a large number of Indonesian customers who crave authentic dishes such as Pempek, Nasi Goreng, Nasi Telur Special, Sop Buntut, Soto Betawi, Soto Betawi, Nasi Bungkus, Es Doger, and Es Teler. A must-try for anyone looking to experience the flavors of Indonesia while in New York.
I love the food at this restaurant. It has its own distinct flavors. I especially recommend trying the crispy calamari with salted egg, but the crunchy crispy chicken is also amazing. Everything I have tasted here has been excellent. Even the basic watercress with garlic on a sizzling plate was delicious! The only downside is the limited seating space, but the fantastic food more than makes up for it.
I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is attentive.
Mouthwatering Indonesian food. They serve a noodle soup entree (yellow with shredded chicken) that can’t be found anywhere else. I will be back
