Olde Main Eatery - Elk River

There 's always a booth or table open and it 's nice to hear sit where you want as soon as I step in. The bottomless coffee pot is so fresh and hot! This family run cafe takes pride in ELK River.

I have never written a restaurant review before but our experience here was worth writing. We are from the cities but we were here for an appointment. The food was excellent and the attention and wonderful personality of Cam our waiter made the experience even better! We will be back!! I graded the atmosphere down a little because the noise level was really high.?

3/16/2024 BreakfastStopped in on our way to Brainerd. There was no wait at 7:40 am so we were able to sit right down. Staff was friendly.Had a hot tea. Was brought a nice selection of tea. Usually they bring a small plate to put the used tea bag on, but no such luck today. I don’t like leaving it in the water as I don’t like my tea strong.Ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs with American cheese. Gravy was good and peppery. Biscuits tasted like frozen ones which get a gummy texture. Biscuits are so easy to make I wish more places made their own, could even use a drop biscuit instead of the layered biscuits. Eggs were done well, cheese was an extra $1 and was two strips in the top of the eggs not my favorite way, prefer the cheese mixed in. Also, scrambled eggs were done like an omelet without filling instead of fluffy scramble.

Friendly staff, super fast service, and great food! The biscuits and sausage gravy is amazing! We will be back!
