Samraj Sweets N' Chathut - El Sobrante

This is one of the best Indian places in the area. I'd have to go down to Berkeley for better. They have a very good selection of vegetarian, chicken, and lamb dishes. No beef. As the name implies, there is also a great selection of Indian sweets including several I haven't tried before. Party size ordering is available. I haven't used it yet, but I'm also excited that they are advertising delivery.

Both food in delivery is always so delicious! The owners are so friendly and their food and sweets are the best in the bay area.

I gave three stars because some of the item needs to improve. Like plain naan is too thin as its better if its more fluffy. Kheer is too watery and the rice is not cooked enough. I think kheer should be thick and well cooked. And tandoori chicken was too dry. Other items were ok. I?ll try some other Indian restaurants nearby.

I keep coming back to this place. Great courteous service ! Don't forget to try their Fish Pakora ! They also do sell great Indian Sweets. I loved the Kaju Barfi and Alsee Pinni. Superb ! I heard great things about their catering. I have not used it yet. When I inquired about getting catering done for a birthday party, I was surprised to learn that they were booked for almost next 15 months. It only makes me believe that they must be pretty good.
