The Beach Shack - El Nido

We stumbled upon this place while walking along Vanilla Beach last April 6th, 2022. We honestly intended to go to a different restaurant, but came across the Beach Shack first and we were immediately drawn. They basically had theater seats to watch the beach and sunset (though it was quite gloomy during our stay . They even had beanbags so you can actually have dinner on the beach :D Note that there are a lot of stray dogs, so if you're afraid of dogs, you might want to opt for their tables off the beach. All of the dogs we came across were harmless, and as dog lovers, we absolutely loved this place. They had cool swings that you could use, and amazing music. Perfect place to chill after enjoying the islands. I looooved their Bacon Cream pasta, but my boyfriend wasn't a fan of their Chicken Teriyaki. Their mango shake was also delish! This is definitely a must visit for us when in El Nido. :

Review for bar restaurant only. The seating is comfortable, and the place is kept very clean , including the toilets. The staff are semi attentive but generally friendly. The drinks and cocktails are ok. We mainly were drawn for the comfort ad seating by the beach . The coconut squash soup was delicious.

Good location for sunset and 2 for 1 cocktails were not bad but… Charging 10% service charge without stating anywhere providing suboptimal service leaves a bitter taste. Also, if you are going to charge an extra 100 pesos for “pulled pork” on an nachos, it would be great if it were actually pulled pork and if there was your moneys worth on the plate. We could literally count the number of pieces on ours … Has potential to be a really nice spot for a sunset dinner and cocktails but they really just need to do better.

Happy hour all day. Good facilities, nice mix of seating options in the sun or shade. Nice view of sunset and option to rent paddleboard.
