Carnitas Tio Juan - El Cajon

We got there at 10:40AM and ordered breakfast but the owner came out and said sorry not sorry. Can't serve breakfast.. Los Rancheritos serves breakfast all day and is a smaller restaurant. The owner went on about the grill full of meat. ? Buy another grill so u can serve breakfast. Sundays people wake up late.. very rude as well.

Almost like home but short staffed. The food tasted almost as good as one would have at home and the portions are substantiality large. However, they are short staffed, just as they claim from the time you enter (pictured). One waiter for 8 tables. I ordered carnitas torta but got the carnitas plate, brought all food at the same time including appetizers (pictured) so everything was eaten rather cold. Waiter never came back to check on the table or remove plates (pictured). Very good food but you will need patience and understanding for your visit.

We got two burritos and a taco plate to go. The burritos were really tasty and came with rice and beans in them. The beef fajitas burrito was very tender and flavorful. We also had the Tio Juan burrito just as tasty. Chicken fajitas taco plate was equally yummy overall great food! I do wish they would provide a few chips with to go orders.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Pictured is the Filete Marinera, also had the Quesadillas de Camaron but those didn't last long enough for a picture. ?

We had a blessed afternoon at Carnitas Tio Juan. Waiters Waitress were excellent. The food was delicious and everyone loved Tio Juan!! Many from our shower never knew about this restaurant, but have said they have a NEW great place to eat at now!! Thank you Tio Juan!! Love, Rose Mc Daniel
