HUMA - Edmonton

We went to Cinco de Mayo so it was packed for a Thursday. We tried to make 3 Mexican restaurants for reservations and Huma was the only restaurant to answer her phone on such a busy night, a sign of great service. We arrived and were within 10 minutes. Isabella was our EXCELLENT server. Margaritas were delicious, but served in Martini grills! Tortilla soup was very good, Chicken Enchiladas delicious, Fish tacos were the only downfall... my most favorite of any fish taco I had very bland. But the service was fantastic, even if they were so busy, Isabella took the time to answer our questions never seemed abrupt and needed time to talk. When the bag was questioned by Chicharrones de harina, Isabella offered us to taste a few, they are delicious. Also a bag brought home by Chicharrones de harina. We were so full that we decided to eat home flan for dessert later. Overall an excellent evening we return and recommend.

Eating was good, serving decent. Margarita was excellent. However, we went to pay with a gift card connected to the reception. Apparently the gift card didn't work and they wouldn't accept it if they had the gift voucher. They also said that their manager wasn't there, although it was a Friday at 1830. They said that if we came back, they might accept it, depending on whether their manager was there or not. Very sceptical. We are unimpressed with the service.

The restaurant staff is very friendly and welcoming. The interior has sufficient distance between tables for Kovid. The food is delicious with good taste. The portions could be larger for the price, but, unlike that, eating here is a positive experience.

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have had wonderful experiences every time. I will definitely be returning soon!

My meal was smothered in chocolate, not what I was expecting, just awful. The rice was nothing special, I don't believe though its authentic Mexican rice, it resembled something you would get at a Chinese restaurant.
