The Globe Inn - Eden

This village's only pub seems to cater more to tourists staying at their lodges than to local residents looking for a place to socialize. The pub closes early, often immediately after diners have finished their meals, instead of being a lasting meeting spot for villagers.

Oh my God, this will be our new favorite spot for food. We live pretty close...2 villages away, especially for family meals and get-togethers. We have passed by many times and just never bothered to stop in. The exterior doesn't look anything special, but inside it's charming with an open fire typical of a local pub. The food is delicious, oh my God, I want to come back again and again. The specials and regular menu options were so tempting, I couldn't decide! We tried the seared tuna on pak Choi noodles and the salmon fish cake with poached egg for starters. For mains, the haunch of venison was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and perfectly cooked. My husband loved the steak ale pie, which was piping hot. I couldn't resist stealing a few of his chips. We will definitely be back. The staff here are attentive, lovely, and friendly. Amazing experience.

The food in this restaurant was 100% for the three nights we were there. The staff were pleasant and could not do enough for us. We would love to go again.
