Fish in a flash echuca

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night with my dad and little sister because it is the nearest place for food to our house in Brookeland.

I stayed at this restaurant for a golf tournament. The building was very nice and comfortable. The food is above average in quality.

My parents have a house in Jasper and I frequently visit for work.

We ordered the 'Fisherman's basket - for 2 people'. It was cooked freshly, the prawns, scallops and calamari were ok and the skinny little fries were fine, but weren't what we consider chips, and there were not many of them. It was the '4 fillets of fish' (2 each) that were the disappointment - they were about the size of a chicken nugget, in fact it was only by biting into the batter that we could tell what was fish and what was a scallop!

The chips were the best part of our order. The rest was below average. There was more batter than actual fish inside the flake, calamari rings had too much batter and 2 were imbedded in fish pieces. The potato cakes we ordered were not included so we had to wait while they were cooked and the staff were clearly not concentrating on their jobs. Very disappointed and pricey for what ended up with!
