Flanders Fish Market - East Lyme

Very enjoyable meal and atmosphere while visiting my brother his significant other.

Maybe it was just the waitress? Cesar salad no croutons with blackened haddock. What did i get? With croutons, blackened salmon... I don't really like salmon. Fifteen minutes later, i got my tasty (slightly overcooked haddock. Wife got the raved about lobster pot pie, apparently it comes with shell pieces? Yuk. The pot pie is just the bisque with potatoes and peas thrown in. My father got the sea scallops with fettuccine Alfredo. It had either shell (how??!! or sand? (Again, what?!? . For an app, we had lobster bisque, it was good! It actually had one chunk of lobster in it! Kids Mac and cheese is Kraft Mac and Cheese... It's not hard to make your own? But whatever. My broken beer glass almost sliced my lip/finger. Desserts didn't come out together, everyone was done with their other desserts, before we got the creme brulee. The coffee took longer than the creme brulee. The custard of the creme brulee was a little sour, and soupy. The key lime pie was good, though.

First time coming, and I usually don't eat at seafood places when allergic to seafood but was coming with a group. Very nice, you come into fresh seafood area to buy then there is a restaurant area. Quaint, clean, nice inside. Tried to find something that wasn't seafood. A few options. Ordered a mediterranean pasta and explained my allergies. Came with side salad, blue cheese had tons of pepper in it, one of my allergies of course but they were very apologetic. Who would've thought blue cheese would have pepper in it. They brought me another salad. The waitress was fantastic for such a large party. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and company.

Always a delicious meal at FFM! You cannot go wrong with any dish. If you are ever in the area and have a hankerin ' for good seafood, make Flanders your first choice.

Fresh seafood!!! Noisy, busy Kid-friendliness: One little boy, who had no adult giving him support to behave, was a disturbance. Other children were teased by him and provoked by him. I wished the staff could have politely helped him to sit down and enjoy the experience like the rest of us. I finally let out a lifeguard whistle and that stopped him for about 10 minutes. I really do not recommend Flanders because this has happened more than once.
