Waterfront Restaurant - East Geelong

Arrived at 10.15 am, breakfast is open until 11am. Half of the bain maries were empty, and were slow to refill. We had used plates on our table for a long time whilst the person in charge spoke at length with guests whom she appeared to be friends with. It felt like we were ignored compared to favoured guests. Not the best experience as an accor member

Very nice place to set and enjoy the view but took soooo long to get the food and I was soooo hungry and If u are hungry order main food because for me a petite lady wasn’t enough ,but delicious

Had lunch there on Sunday February 5th. There was a party of 5 people. for starters one ordered mussles and the rest of us shared a dip platter. Not one mussle was open when it arrived at the table and had to be sent back to have them opened. Mussles should never be served unopened. For main one had the fish and chips and this is all that was served. No salad or garnish. three of us ordered steak medium rare. They were very rare and the one I had was blue but there was no moisture or juice in it. Worst steak I've ever had. The desert of deconstructed lemon tart was also discusting. Don't know if it was a bad day but we would never go again for lunch.

The food was lovely and at the price you expect for the venue. Could not fault this. However there are plenty of great dining venues about, so what made this place stand out?…..The Service! The bar and wait staff were amazing! Attentive without being overbearing. Knowledgeable about the food, the wine and flexible with dining choices. They were also genuinely caring that we had a great night which given it was a special occasion was lovely. But to top it all off, one of the wait staff sprinted down the street after we left because we had left a document behind. We had a fantastic dinner and the service at the Waterfront is the reason why. Thank you all again. Can’t wait to come back.

After three attempts at different times of the day I now feel compelled to write a review. Food is inedible, very poorly prepared. Over cooked, spiced and flavours that do not compliment the meal. Over priced. Dips, one would think you were safe, but no. item edible on the menu is the cheese platter.
