Bidrage med feedbackWe knew about this restaurant on our last trip to montreal, otherwise we would have eaten here. when we discovered it this time, we were so excited because we loved eating during our holiday in Corsica, but never were in the position. to find a Corsican restaurant in any other city in Canada that we have visited. this restaurant was very relaxing and the server was very friendly and attentive. it was particularly pleasant to be served by it because it is from corsica. the Corsican house red wine I had was excellent, and all the food we tried was absolutely tasty and we just wanted to have had a bigger appetit to eat more dishes. to finish the meal, we have the fiadone (Corsican cheesecake,) the espresso and the Corsica-Dauif (eau de vie de myrte.) this is definitiw high on the list of restaurants for the next montreal trip.
Now, well, it's always unpleasant to find out a restaurant has many 5-star reviews of people who have only made one (1) review ever, isn't that a coincidence? you are the judge. I was curious and happy to taste French Korean food, seemed fascinating. not catastrophic, eating was in order, but nothing extraordinary worth the price that is calculated here as a whole is simply not there, time out market has better eating and less expensive, there are so many better restaurants in montreal. my gut was hard as nail, but the sauce was nice. the long-lasting was overboiled and dirty. the wine list starts expensive and goes up from there so that the total bill does not offer any worth for its hard earned money and the whole experience feels very touristy. but the French tourists seem to love it, at least those who only do 1 review ever.
We could have a last minute reservation for 6 on a Saturday night guests that was a bad sign! service friendly and reasonable efficient at first place, but went downhill near the end of the meal. Appetizers/Tapas varied from very interesting (anchove/onion pizza, gnocci) to...quite medially (charcuterie plate, fries.) our main course was a large dish with two sauces - the duck was hard, overboiled and not very tasteful. the sauces were not bad. others in our party had a calfsshell they liked the calves, but it was a bit overwhelmed with oliven. the wine list was interesting, but something overpriced. do not repeat.
Family of 5 (kids 20, 18 15) ate a fabulous dinner. the waitress was wonderful and very helpful. we had the hanger steak, Corsican-Veal, Croque-monsieur, weeded pork, arancini and 2 desserts-creme-brodel and chocolate fondant. everything was made fresh and delicous! very good.
It’s difficult to find a restaurant that works for three generations of our family. Two vegetarians, two who don’t eat sugar, one who is gluten intolerant and one who doesn’t care for Mexican. This place worked for all of us and the small plates weren’t...all that small. We had a marvelous meal, and everyone was pleased
