Ore House - Durango

We traveled to Durango from Las Vegas, we are lucky enough to eat in some of the best restaurants in the world. The Ore house came recommended by a local lady who said, 'Steak? Hands down the Ore House! '. So we tried our luck and got a seat. The hostess was kind and professional. Got us to our seats. The drinks were generously poured but not too strong, just right! Our server, unfortunately I forgot his name, was well versed on everything on the menu and was quite helpful to my beautiful wife who is doing a vegan diet at the moment. I ordered the Petite Filet medium plus along with the mashed potatoes with Demi glaze. The meal came out in perfect time and it was cooked to perfection. A great piece of meat cooked just to my liking. I was fortunate enough to speak to the Chef and thank him for such a wonderful dining experience. The only downfall was my wife wouldn 't let me order another Filet. Thanks Ore House! An unforgettable meal in a beautiful setting with happy and professional staff!!!

This place has the best steak I've ever had- perfectly cooked. Creative drink menu and delicious sides. Excellent service as well- if you want a steak dinner, this is the place.

From the salad to the steak, all the way to dessert, The food was really excellent in every way. Our waiter was very helpful and willing to make sure our meal exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend

Exceptional is an understatement!! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Our server Sean was absolutely outstanding! Then comes the beautifully cooked beef and assortment of tasty sides and salads. The 28 day dry aged NY strip is one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Oh, and the cornbread in the mini cast iron skillets topped with bacon butter is insanely delicious. I must also mention how patient and caring all the staff was towards our 2 young boys ages 1.5 3.5. It is often difficult to dine out with them, as they are very active little guys, but the staff made us feel very welcomed. Some of the nicer restaurants in town have made us feel un-welcomed when dining with our boys. Not the Ore House, It was as though we were eating at a family members house. The genuine acceptance and understanding nature of the staff was very much appreciated. We will most definitely be back!!

We ordered our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's meals from Ore House this year and the food was exceptional--absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The four-course takeout holiday meals were definitely pricey, but worth every penny. All we had to do was heat up the food and enjoy it. We will definitely order our holiday meals from Ore House from now on!
