Palio POCCINO - Düsseldorf

Unfortunately I had a tiny table opposite the cake counter, very uncomfortable next to one of the entrance doors. My table and the next table were full of crumbs left behind by other guests. The crumbs were not removed either when I was served the...cake and coffee I had ordered. You can't exactly call the waiter friendly. At least the cake was delicious.

Loved this quirky coffee and cafe style Italian. Small but full of very expensive looking coffee machines stacked high inside the cafe. Welcomed by Bon journo ! Great sandwiches crammed with gorgeous fillings, brioche rolls and amazing all fresh Ministrone soup. The best coffee for...a long time. Best thing great value. They also have their own restaurant with good views right opposite. Will return if only for the coffee or soup.

We were in luck transported by the lift to the first floor. Walked through the cafe and the most beautiful cabinets of deserts. We were seated by the curved window overlooking the river. The mirrored panels gave an interesting view both ways. The blackboard of...daily specials was excellent. I chose lobster bisque with clam linguine to follow. I am a foodie both dishes were excellent. The flavors in both dishes were memorable. I will be returning next year for certain. Highly recommend for lunch or casual dinner.
