Thrilled to see this gem re-open under a Michelin star chef who also owns the trendy downtown Dragui restaurant, Cote Rue. The ambiance is wonderfully authentic...take note especially of the gorgeous tiled floors, the woodwork, and the attention to detail that this renovation has lovingly bestowed upon the Bertin. They have an interesting menu that changes often with real brasserie food, including some cuts of steak that you do not find in many places.
It was nice to see the Brasserie Bertin reopened. It has been tastefully redecorated but misses out on the food. The card is not very imaginative, possibly not meant to be so. We had the Caesar salad and the tuna fish on mashed potatoes and were not impressed. Service was very friendly but did not make up for the poor food.
