Graveleys Fish Chips - Doncaster

I have been to this restaurant several times and have never had a bad meal. The fish is cooked perfectly with a beautiful crispy batter, and the fish and chips are excellent. They are served on plastic plates with plastic utensils, but they are not greasy and the staff is very competent. Overall, I was very impressed.

During shopping in Graveley's fish and chip business. You go to counter and order (and pay). Service very fast and friendly. Fish with good portion size (i had small / older deal) muddy peas, best I cost for age (and hot) chips... good. Cup of tea (plastic cup) too strongly only given 2 small milk cartons. Children option available. could not have commented. Staff efficient and friendly during my visit. Leave with some previous comments, yes they use plastic, but you do not go for fish and chips silver service /ritz / Savoy treatment. Overall, it would recommend a visit and see for itself.

The fish and chips were decent, but everything else at the restaurant was disappointing. We ordered fish and chips with mushy peas to share. Unfortunately, the peas were poured on top of the chips, which was a big no-no because they made the chips soggy. The meal was served on Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils, and even the tomato ketchup came in a plastic packet that cost extra. It was not very environmentally friendly as everything seemed to be wrapped in plastic. The fish and chips themselves were just okay, nothing exceptional. Additionally, you couldn't even get additional items yourself, as you had to wait for the staff to bring them to you, which meant that your meal often went cold.

Lunch. You place your order at the counter. The restaurant has a slightly untidy but clean appearance. The staff was friendly and polite. We ordered fish, chips, and peas, which arrived quickly. The food was served on a used plate with a used knife and fork. The fish was delicious with a crispy batter. The peas were tasty and well-cooked. The chips were crispy on the outside but dry inside, which was disappointing. I had tea and my companion had coffee, but the coffee had no coffee in it and had to be replaced. Overall, it was okay, but there are better options available and I would choose to dine elsewhere next time.
