Matanzas On The Bay

Just your old FL style Back porch atmosphere. Amazing Pizza BEST ON THE ISLAND. I can't say enough about the outstanding service I got from Lindsey, and my beer from the bar was cold and crispy. Parking: A few(15) parking spots in the lot. Lots of parking in the paid lot next door and under the bridge.

After a long day that began with a 6 AM flight (because why not start the day early? , a somewhat adventurous ride on public transportation, and surviving on no more than hopes and dreams instead of overpriced airport food, I finally arrived in Fort Myers Beach. With my phone teetering on the edge of 2% battery life and the looming fear of being locked out of my Airbnb, I found myself at Matanzas on the Bay. They graciously let me charge my phone at the bar, and I can’t express how much of a relief that was. As I waited, they served me with a great burger, paired with refreshing Coronas with lime that truly hit the spot. I want to give special recognition to the female bartender (whose name I, unfortunately, didn’t get for her kindness and warm conversation. She made my first impression of Fort Myers an incredibly positive one. If you’re in the area and looking for great food, cold drinks, and genuinely kind people, Matanzas on the Bay is the place to go. I couldn’t be happier with the hospitality I received.

Wow, we parked here walked to the beach and back (NOT TO HANG OUT swim) with every intention to walk back and have dinner at this establishment we BOAT TO FREQUENTLY….returned to nasty tow or boot threats on our car. Way to suck the life out of a fun day. Congrats you lost good customers! ?. You were not busy with lots of vacant spaces.
