Mother's Basket - DeSoto

The fish nuggets had a delicious flavor, but I purchased them on 3/30/23 to bring to a friend in a nursing home. Unfortunately, they were too salty for her to eat. I also found them to be overly seasoned. I may order them again in the future, but I will ask for them to be prepared with less salt or a different seasoning.

When I tell you this fish is good, OMG!!! This fish taste great. It’s so flavorful! It’s that grandma ole time cornmeal fish. Very crispy. And the fries was great too. I will definitely be back. Customer service was impeccable too!

I tried the fish basket and found the portion to be generous, but it lacked a bit of flavor. I may give it another try in the future, but I was disappointed to learn that two other catfish restaurants in the area had closed. Overall, I would rate the food 3 out of 5 stars.

Crispy and fresh!! OMG my husband asked me to stop here for lunch and they didn't disappoint!! Catfish was fried to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I don't even eat fries but I ate all of theirs!! The chicken was also flavorful and crispy. I just love find hidden gems in the city!! I will definitely be back for the soulful Sunday!!

Not bad. I would go back to support the black owned business. Just come on with the professionalism and family owned. Represent your parents well and stop looking like you just rolled out the bed! I ordered the catfish and because it was cooked once ordered it was fresh.
